Location description

The Monte Argentario is a Tuscan island joined to the mainland by sandbanks creating lagoons that host pink flamingos and white herons. The beaches are mainly rocky except for the 10km Feniglia beach, a natural reserve, that is sandy and the 10km sandy Giannella beach. Originally inhabited by the Etruscans, then the Romans and in the 16th and 17th century by the Spanish, the Argentario has two fishing villages which were developed in the 1950s to become important summer holiday destinations for Italian and International families. The Argentario Golf Club is 5 km away and offers an 18 hole course, hotel and Spa.
