The present villa dates back to the 15th century but has its origins in medieval times when it belonged to a Guelph family. In 1560 it was purchased by the Gianfigliazzi family.

In the 18th century it housed the precious Vassari archives and subsequently a collection of Napoleonic memorabilia when it was owned by a relative of the Emperor.

The property has been restored to conserve the charm and atmosphere of a large, symmetrical villa and below the villa are some of the most impressive cellars in Tuscany.

There is AC/CH throughout the villa which sits over three floors and has a tower and large basements.

The old floors have been restored and replaced, the original 18th century frescos remain and the bathrooms are of a variety of marble tiling.

One can wander from room to room in a timeless trance and enjoy internal courtyards, a winter garden and a wonderful Tuscan kitchen along with many bedrooms and bathrooms providing ample accommodation for either a Boutique Hotel or a large family home with many guest rooms and entertaining ideas.

The cellars could create wonderful spaces for art, vintage cars, music or wine collections!

One could have a Spa, an indoor pool and any number of amazing rooms to enjoy with ceilings reaching 15 mts in height. There is a lift and ca. 20 bedrooms and 23 bathrooms in the main villa.

In the annexe there are 5 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms and a gorgeous panoramic roof terrace of ca. 150 sq m.
