The Italian coastal towns and resorts were until recently, very local in their outlook. They are now much more International; welcoming new owners from all over the world. Places like Portofino and Forte dei Marmi are very much a part of Italian history, so you will find bars and beach clubs that make you feel like you are in the movies!
